Wood Dale, IL, December 17, 2007 - The new DILM38 contactor is an addition to Moeller's range of power and cost optimized Eco contactors. DILM38, with more compact dimensions than Moeller's DILM40, completes the successful rating increase for one contactor size. This included the previous types DILM15, DILM72 and DILM170

The new DILM38 contactor is an addition to Moeller's range of power and cost optimized Eco contactors. DILM38, with more compact dimensions than Moeller's DILM40, completes the successful rating increase for one contactor size. This included the previous types DILM15, DILM72 and DILM170.

An optimized contact design and high performance contact materials made it possible to increase the rating. After thorough examination and testing, an optimum cost/benefit ratio with the Eco contactors could be achieved. The result is outstanding: Moeller has lowered the prices for the ratings of the Eco variants by up to 12 percent compared to the list price. The compact Eco contactors save valuable space in the switch cabinet. With an electrical lifespan of 750 000 operations, the Eco contactor is the first choice for most applications and thus a genuine alternative to the established contactors.

With a rated operational output of 18.5 kW and a rated operational current of 38A (AC-3 at 400 V), the DILM38 offers compact dimensions (W x H x D = 45 mm x 85 mm x 97mm). The corresponding established contactor is considerably larger (55 mm x 115 mm x 132 mm).
