Moeller DILMP
Wood Dale, IL,
September 7, 2007
Moeller has
consistently further developed its xStart contactor
range with the DILMP 4-pole contactors. Moeller has
thus completed its range of contactors with another
attractive series of products for the safe and
reliable switching of 4-pole networks and loads up
to 200 A.
With its DILMP 4-pole contactors Moeller
complies with a number of national and international
requirements, such as the disconnection of phase
conductors and unearthed neutral conductors in
general power supply networks - for power supplies
with stationary or mobile emergency generators. This
also applies to the response of a protective device
in the IT system where the disconnection of a
neutral conductor may also be required.
The compact DILMP devices are optimally
rated: The series consists of four graduated sizes
thus offering an economically sensible division of
ratings up to 200 A. The size for AC and DC operated
contactors is identical. Added to this is a standard
set of accessories for 3-pole and 4-pole contactors.
This ensures efficient and simple planning and
engineering in equal measure.
The easily accessible coil terminals arranged
on the front, the box terminals with two separate
terminal chambers, the additional components mounted
on both sides and a mechanical interlock offer clear
mounting benefits and ensure a high level of wiring
safety.
The technical specifications, such as a low
pick-up and sealing power with DC operated
contactors not only reduce temperature rise in the
control cabinet but also allow a higher packing
density or reduced cabinet ventilation. Furthermore,
smaller power supply units can be used for the power
supply of the contactor drives. Plant operators can
thus reduce their energy costs sustainably.
The DILMP offers other benefits such as an
integrated suppressor for DC operated contactors,
the easy-to-plug suppressor circuits for AC operated
contactors, as well as the additional integrated
auxiliary contact as a make contact function. In
addition to this is an extensive range of
accessories such as 2-pole and 4-pole auxiliary
contact modules for front and side mounting and
direct control from a PLC up to a rated current of
45 A.
The new 4-pole DILMP contactors are
manufactured to a high standard of quality as well
as in compliance with the latest national and
international standards. They also have the relevant
approvals such as UL, CSA, UR and are therefore
ideally suited for the world market.
