Moeller DIL M12-XMSM Motor Filter

Moeller's DIL M12-XMSM motor filter offers an optimum solution for suppressing 3-phase motors. The suppressor is connected simply and quickly to standard DILM7...M15 contactors with a tool-less plug connector. The motor filter ensures a high level of system safety and increases the service life of the contactor contacts.
Motors are inherently inductive loads. The induction voltage occurring when the motors are disconnected is an undesired effect that can cause interference during operation. This interference can result in high voltages between the individual winding layers which can break down the motor winding insulation and destroy the motor.

Moeller is offering the motor filter for motors up to 7.5 kW as an integrated system solution with the tool-less plug connection design – a suitable suppressor for fitting directly to the motor overload switch.

The motor filter reduces the voltage and the high-frequency components resulting from a rapid rise in voltage. This not only protects the motor but also reduces the wear of the contacts on the motor contactor.
